“Novis Consuetudines”
Concentrating on working in the studio creating still-lifes, Peter has produced a body of work entitled “Novis Consuetudines” which considers some of the world’s more exotic customs and rituals. Peter challenged himself to utilise only natural day-light which gives the collection a consistent aesthetic, reminiscent of the approach used by Olivier Richon and Laura Letinsky. Although there are few clues to intention or context, Peter invites the audience to provide their own interpretation and, perhaps, to think about their own day to day rituals.
Peter has supplement this body of work by showing a set on photographs that depict objects that are very personal to him and his family. As a counterpoint to the “Novis Consuentudines”essay, this collection is tonally subdued, stylistically similar to the 17thCentury Dutch, Vanitas still-lifes.

Memories.
Studio Still Life.
We all have precious memories and items that we cherish. I have recently undertaken a commission to photograph items that hold special memories. The style that these items were photographed was intended to replicate the painting style of sixteenth century Dutch masters.

I am delighted to announce that the two images below have been awarded bronze awards by the Guild of Professional Photographers in their national competition.
The Howarth Art Gallery |
I have recently been extremely fortunate to have undertaken a brief to photograph the exterior and interior of the Howarth Art Gallery in Accrington. This is an ongoing project and I will post updates as create more images. In undertaking this brief I wanted to capture both the magnificent exterior and grounds, but also the finer details of the interior.

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust. |
In late 2017 I was given the opportunity to undertake some work for Blackburn Rovers FC. This brief was to capture the interaction between the club and its supporters through the Community Trust at the club.
